Whaley Bridge clinic · four or six hours, one visit

Acupuncture Deep Work days for women travelling from Manchester, London and beyond

When there is a lot to work through, or a long way to come, one unhurried day can do the work of many short appointments.

One long visit instead of many short ones

Deep Work is a single, unhurried session of four or six hours for women who want to work through several issues at once: your full history, treatment, and a plan for home. It combines acupuncture, bodywork, visceral therapy, nutrition, lifestyle and breath, and there is no initial consultation to book first.

It is built for complex or long-standing problems, and for women who would otherwise make a long journey many times. Coming from Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Leeds or London, one day can do the work of several appointments.

  • 4 hours £280. Your history and treatment for several issues, with time to go deep on each.
  • 6 hours £430. Six hours of treatment within a seven hour visit, with a one hour lunch break in the middle.

In a world that rewards doing, we’ve forgotten the art of being.

Most of us are quietly run by an inner voice that speaks in deadlines, obligations and logical next steps. It keeps us moving, producing, pushing… It is very good at drowning out the softer signals. The fatigue. The tension that never quite leaves. The feeling that something, beneath all the busyness, is out of alignment.

That feeling is not weakness. It’s intelligence.

Persistent pain, exhaustion, and that hum of something isn’t right are not failures of your body. They are messages, which are quiet at first, then louder, until they can no longer be ignored. Burnout, chronic discomfort, and the sense of being disconnected from yourself are not problems to fix. They are invitations to listen.

I help you listen.

At Zest, through my integrated approach, I work with your body’s own intelligence to release what has been held, restore what has been depleted, and reconnect what has gone quiet.

The result isn’t just less pain or better digestion. It’s you, grounded, resilient, and at home in yourself again.

  • Stored tension released. Physical and emotional.
  • Natural energy and resilience restored.
  • The conversation between your body and mind reopened.
  • A new relationship with challenge — one rooted in wisdom rather than survival.

When you feel at ease within yourself, everything else becomes possible.

How a Deep Work day unfolds

Nothing is pre-ordered. I do what is needed.

Every day follows the same arc, shaped around you. The goal is a deep changeover.

  1. ListeningThe day begins with listening, to understand deeply what the issues are and how they connect.
  2. Reading the bodyI look at your tongue, inspect your ears, feel your pulse, and watch your gait and posture.
  3. Immediate guidanceIf something needs attention straight away, we go through it: daily exercises, breathing techniques, humming practices or lifestyle changes. We also talk about diet and nutrition.
  4. The physical work comes firstWe start with any physical pain, loss of mobility or limitation. This may take one hour, two hours or more, depending on how severe the problem is. Short needles go in, we add movement, and they come out again, working with fascia, Tui Na, sometimes gua sha or cupping, and other bodywork techniques.
  5. A breakA short 5 to 10 minute break in the 4 hour day. In the 6 hour day there is a one-hour lunch break, which works like a small reset.
  6. Checking againAfter the break I evaluate again where the tension lies.
  7. Emotional and mental releaseNow the work turns to visceral therapy, singing bowl or breathing techniques combined with acupuncture, so a new pattern can be established in the nervous system. Stress is released, and there is room for a mental structure for a different goal in life. I may use guided meditation while giving a gentle head and neck massage.
  8. Quiet consolidationThe last 15 to 20 minutes (longer if you wish) you are left alone, usually with one or two final needles in and quiet music, to take it all in and let calm settle.

4 hours · £280

Time to understand the whole picture, work through the physical problems, and begin the emotional and mental release, with a short 5 to 10 minute break.

6 hours · £430

The same arc, with enough time for the emotional burden to be released, trauma eased and the emotional and mental makeover to happen. The one-hour lunch break works like a small reset, and it is six hours of treatment within a seven hour visit.

From women who travelled

I’m very pleased I met Elżbieta on my path. She helped me understand and resolve problems with physical and emotional health, adding to that she inspired me a lot with her professional skills and knowledge. Whether it is tongue and ears reading or acupuncture sessions for traumas and emotional distress and release I would highly recommend it to anyone. Her workplace is a safe and private space where you can feel really comfortable. As a person she’s very passionate, calm and very detailed. Her advices changed my life style and overall feeling for better, especially if it comes to dietary changes.

Anna, Liverpool.

Amazing person, amazing practitioner! Very thorough and knowledgeable. Truly holistic in her approach. The acupuncture, muscles stimulation, different styles of tissue massage helped my frozen shoulder, upper back pain, knee pain and hallux deformity. Work with emotions was another layer of treatment. Using ear and tongue for diagnosis was new to me, but spot on, and led to consultation on nutrition and herbal support, which were also very insightful and helpful. Elzbieta supports the whole body to heal. I really felt that she goes over and beyond. The surroundings were calm, clean and well maintained. I can wholeheartedly recommend Ela and I will certainly be back, despite the distance in the future if needed. But one off visit was very helpful for now.

Common questions

What happens during a Deep Work day?›

It begins with listening, then I read your tongue, ears, pulse, gait and posture. We start with any physical pain or limitation, then take a short break (a one-hour lunch in the 6 hour day). After that the work turns to emotional and mental release, with visceral therapy, singing bowl or breathing techniques combined with acupuncture. The last 15 to 20 minutes you rest alone with one or two final needles and music. Nothing is pre-ordered, and the 6 hour day simply leaves more time for the emotional work.

What is a Deep Work session?›

A single long visit of four or six hours, for working through several issues at once: your full history, acupuncture, bodywork, visceral therapy, nutrition, lifestyle and breath, and a plan for home. No initial consultation is needed first.

How much does Deep Work cost?›

The 4 hour session is £280 and the 6 hour session is £430. The six hour visit is six hours of treatment within a seven hour visit, with a one hour lunch break.

Can I do Deep Work if I live in London?›

Yes. It was made for women travelling from further away, including London, Liverpool and Chester. London Euston to Stockport takes about 1 hour 45 minutes, and after a change at Stockport the Buxton line reaches Whaley Bridge, so the whole journey is around 2 hours 40 minutes to 3 hours. Please check train times when booking.

Will I need more sessions afterwards?›

Some women find one day enough to move things forward, and others follow it with online consultations on Zoom or a few local follow-ups. We plan what suits you at the end of the day.

Make a day of it

A walking reset in the High Peak.

The journey can be part of the treatment. Book an early session, then have lunch in Whaley Bridge and walk it in: up Eccles Pike for the wide views, or along the flat canal towpath. Or do it the other way round: walk in the morning, have lunch, and arrive for an afternoon appointment already a little softer. Time in the hills, close to nature, helps the nervous system settle and rejuvenate, and the treatment goes deeper for it.
